At night the tourist can enjoy the night life at Boa Viagem, at the numerous bars, restaurants and nightclubs, as well as at the regional market that happens every Sunday at Boa Viagem Square. Further on you will find Piedade, Candeias and Barra de Jangada beaches, all in Jaboatão dos Guararapes. At Piedade, also by the ocean is the small church of Nossa Senhora de Piedade, one of the town’s post card attractions. Located in Cabo county is Gaibu beach, also included in the routs of surfers. During the early 1970´s, the beach sheltered “hippies” from all over the country and to this day it keeps a delightful environment of freedom. The warm and clear water is an irresistible invitation for a good swim. Walking 3.5 kilometers from Gaibu, alongside the beautiful landscape and the sea breeze, one arrives at Calhetas beach. It is a small, almost deserted bay with 1 kilometer of extension. At Calhetas waves are week and the water is blue-green with an average temperature of 28 degrees and transparent up to 1 meter down. In the exuberant landscape, the rocks coming from the continent into the ocean stand out. The scenery is also composed of small bushes, fishermen houses and a few bars where visitors can enjoy agulha frita and other seafood dishes and drinks made of regional fruits.

It is a destination with a differential where the tourist can stay at five stars resorts such as the Summerville Beach Resort, considered one of the top ten beach resorts in Brazil. Beauty extends up to Tamandaré beach in Rio Formoso, 101 kilometers from Recife. The district has seven beaches.
