The best translation for the way of life of the people of Olinda is observed by going up and down the hills of Cidade Alta. By walking through its narrow streets, the visitor reaches the traditional churches and houses that are one of the city’s major characteristics. The first Brazilian Law School was born in Olinda, as well as various monasteries, convents and schools.

Only six kilometers from Recife, the historical city is home to various artists and was considered a part of the World’s  Historical and Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.
