The capital is constantly happening due to the revival of Recife Neighborhood, the area from which the city began to grow. With the support of private investments the 19th century mansions are being restored as well as the sidewalks, lighting system and landscape all according to the original architecture. The place was considered a National Historic and Artistic Patrimony, to be reborn with a new concept for services, business and leisure with bars, night clubs, malls and markets such as Domingo na Rua (Sunday on the Streets).
A refuge for the first Jewish people who came to América and Pernambuco´s largest economic center, until the beginning of the century, Recife Neighborhood offers its visitors a beautiful view of the bridges over the Capibaribe, where there are catamarã boat rides at night and during the day leaving from Marco Zero. |
